Gifts of Real and Personal Property

Gifts of real estate and other personal property are an excellent way to support Central Piedmont and its students while lowering your tax liability at the same time. These gifts will provide you with a charitable deduction and other tax savings including capital gains, income tax and federal estate taxes. You can also deed property to the College, while retaining the lifetime right of occupancy.

For more information, contact Brenda Lea at 704.330.6869.

Matching Gifts

Numerous corporations will match employees' charitable contributions often by doubling the amount of the original gift. Some companies will even match gifts made by retired employees or spouses of current employees.

It is a common practice among colleges, universities, and other non-profit organizations to modestly assess an administrative fee on endowment funds in order to offset costs associated with the management and administration of the endowment investments and individual endowment funds. The Central Piedmont Community College Foundation calculates the fee at 1% of the endowment fund's market value at the beginning of each fiscal year. The fee is reviewed by the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation Finance Committee annually.
